August 2026 data from New Jersey REALTORS® puts the statewide single family median at $644,500, up 3.1% year over year, on 2.9 months of supply. Across the eight South Jersey counties we work, single family medians run from $280,000 in Salem to $659,000 in Cape May.
Census Bureau figures show 326 single family permits authorized in Gloucester County through July, against 516 over the same months in 2025. Here is where the other seven South Jersey counties landed.
