Ground is broken on 38 waterfront townhomes
in Atlantic City's Inlet.

Atlantic City has 38 new waterfront townhomes under construction. K. Hovnanian Homes broke ground this month on Terraces at Absecon Inlet, at Pacific and New Hampshire Avenues in the city's Inlet section, on a site the city describes as steps from the beach and the Boardwalk.

The homes are four stories and run about 1,848 square feet, with three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, two car tandem garages, open concept living space and a balcony on the top level. The first phase covers five buildings, and it includes a fully furnished model home along with some quick move in opportunities. First deliveries are anticipated as early as summer 2027.

The city puts the groundbreaking alongside more than $250 million in infrastructure investment being spent or committed across Atlantic City, and the builder describes the project as a return to the market after years away. For a buyer, the useful part is neither of those things. It is that a new construction option now exists at the shore at a stage where the model home and the earliest homesites are still ahead of the first closing.

New construction runs on a different timeline from a resale. Homes are released in phases, the model home sets what the finished product looks like, and a quick move in home is a different decision from one that has not been started. Those are the things worth understanding before choosing between a townhome here and a resale a few blocks inland, and both are markets we work in.
